Early Childhood Availability Chart Questions
1.
What is the Early Childhood Availability Chart?
The Early Childhood Availability Chart is an interactive tool that displays current seat availability in early learning programs across New Orleans. It helps families identify open seats by age group, program type, and location.
2.
How do I use the chart to find available seats?
  • Filter Options: Use the filters to select your child's age group (e.g., Infant, Toddler, PK3, PK4), preferred program type (e.g., Head Start, LA4), and desired location.
  • View Results: The chart will update to show centers with available seats matching your criteria.
3.
I’m having trouble viewing the dashboard—what should I do?
Try using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a desktop or laptop for best results. Mobile devices may not display all features correctly. Make sure pop-ups and scripts are allowed in your browser settings.
4.
Is the data updated in real-time?

The dashboard is updated regularly, but not in real time. Updates typically reflect new data submissions, verification outcomes, and placement changes on a weekly or biweekly basis.

5.
Why don’t I see data for a school or center?
If your school or center doesn’t appear, it doesn’t currently participate in the funding streams enrolled by NOLA-PS.
