If you need a K–12 seat or plan to transfer schools for the 2026–2027 year, K-12 Open Enrollment begins May 13, 2026. 
Friday, May 8 all Family Resource Centers will be closed for in-person visits. Virtual calls will be available until 10:00 AM only.

K-12 Registration

Kindergarten - 12th Grade Registration Directions

Once you receive a new placement at a NOLA Public School for grades K–12, you must complete registration directly with the school. Use the tool below to find your school and view the required next steps. Registration steps will vary by school, and deadlines depend on the enrollment cycle.

Results released end of March		 April 29, 2026
Open Enrollment
May 13 - September 4, 2026		 Five working days after submitting the Open Enrollment form in the Parent Portal.
If your school is on break, you may register once they reopen. The days they are closed do not count against the five day deadline.

Students new to the district		 Please wait 24 hours and then follow up with your new school within five working days.
