ROUND 2 Results

Round 2 Match Results will be available during the week of June 20. Families can access their results in the Parent Portal and will also receive an email notification about Round 2 student placements. Please note that the Parent Portal will be down for scheduled annual maintenance from June 23 to July 7. If you need help accessing your student’s assignment for next year, please contact or call us at 1-877-343-4773.

If your student was matched to a school in Round 2, your next step is to complete registration with the school. You can find a list of school registration instructions in the table here. Please reach out to your child’s school directly with any questions about registration.

In order to register, you will need to share specific documentation with the school team. This documentation may include a birth certificate, immunization records, parent/guardian photo identification, proof of residency in Orleans Parish, and other information. Check the school’s registration requirements to see what documents you need and how to submit them.

If you would like to select a different school than the one your student was matched to in Round 2 or Main Round, you can participate in Open Enrollment.

If your student is not yet assigned to a school for the 2022-2023 school year, your next step is to participate in Open Enrollment to select a school for your student. Open Enrollment begins on July 11, 2022. Families can select an available seat online through the Parent Portal.

Round 2 Information

Round 2 of the NOLA-PS Common Application Process (NCAP) was open for students in grades K-12 from April 11 through May 13, 2022. In Round 2, the application process is very similar to the Main Round application process, where students rank up to 12 schools and are matched to available seats based on a student’s priority, eligibility, and lottery number. Families completed a Round 2 application by logging into the Parent Portal.

Round 2 placements replace a Main Round placement. If you have a placement for next year and want to keep it, you should not participate in Round 2.  If you do not have a placement for next year or want to try for a new placement for next year, you should participate in Round 2. Families that received a placement in the Main Round, should review your placement results in the Parent Portal to understand if you should participate in Round 2. Learn more on the Understand Placement page.

If you have questions, you can always reach out to us by emailing or calling 1-877-343-4773. Learn more on our Family Support webpage.

K-12 Waitlist Information

Waitlists can be accessed by logging into the Parent Portal after April 20, 2022. The only schools that have waitlists are Audubon Montessori, Lusher*, and Lake Forest*. Waitlist offers are made as seats become available until enrollment closes at these schools. Enrollment closes at Lusher and Lake Forest on September 1, 2022. Enrollment closes at Audubon Montessori on October 1, 2022.

Students can be assigned a placement for the 2022-2023 school year and be on a waitlist for one or more schools. Families on the waitlist will remain on the waitlist until a seat becomes available or enrollment closes for these schools.

*Please note that the Waitlist Position you see in the Parent Portal for Lusher or Lake Forest is not an absolute position. There are several types of waitlist tiers. Students receive an offer based on their waitlist tier when seats become available. Students’ tiers are assigned based on set priorities and affect the order in which offers are made from the waitlist.

Geographic Priority for Newly Sited Schools

Schools sited to a new location for the 2022-2023 school year offer geographic and zone priority for students who live near the current and new school sites.

As announced on March 22, 2022, the three schools named below will move their operations to a different facility for the 2022-2023 school year. You can see zone or geographic priority for all schools in the SchoolFinder tool

  • Audubon Elementary School (3rd -8th grades) will occupy and operate Live Oak Elementary (21328 Constance Street, currently FirstLine Live Oak)
  • Morris Jeff Middle School (5th-8th grades) will occupy and operate Drew Elementary (3819 St. Claude Avenue, currently ARISE Academy)
  • EQA: New Orleans Accelerated High School will occupy and operate Gaudet Elementary (12000 Haynes Boulevard, currently IDEA Oscar Dunn).

Of the schools moving this year, only Morris Jeff offers geographic and zone priority. For geographic priority, you qualify if you live within a half mile of either school site. For zone priority, you qualify if you live in the zip codes 70112, 70116, 70117, or 70119.
